Canoe Boat Mansion Analogy

A clip of alan watts from "time and the more it changes." alan watts begins by using a boat analogy and proceeds to explain how we should not define ourselves by our past but by the present.. I use this analogy all the time in a variety of applications. the canoe theory takes this "bus" analogy another step forward. the principles are as follows: 1. a company is like a canoe - as in, we are all in this canoe together. i'm sure you've heard people say, "we are all in this boat together.". Someone has forwarded me a note originally issued by, i assume, some kind of management consultant bloke in the us. i just felt the canoe race analogy was too good not to share..

In 'completing the analogous pair', two words are given.these words are related to each other in some way. another word is also given. the candidate is required to find out the relationship between the first two words and choose the word from the given alternatives, which bears the same relationship to the third word, as the first two bear.. €
