The whole boat works together in tandem to turn the paddlewheel as our expert captain navigates the boat down the potomac river. and don’t worry – the cycleboat has a motor to help out or even take over as needed!. The potomac paddle pub is dc’s first and only 15-passenger pedal boat. the boat is propelled by a 6-foot paddle wheel that is powered by our passengers pedaling in tandem (don’t worry – we also have a motor to help out as needed).. On the potomac river's northern neck, this park offers many opportunities for family fun. it's listed on the national register of historic places and has an olympic-sized swimming pool and an adjacent bathhouse, meeting area, snack bar, camp store and power-boat ramp..
On the maryland shore of the potomac, paddle-in campsites on state lands exist at chapel point state park, friendship farm park, smallwood state park and point lookout state park. because options for kayak touring are changing, and conditions vary from site to site, overnight trips require research and planning..
